Apprentice training

The Liechtenstein Institute of Professional Trustees and Fiduciaries offers apprentices in the trust sector additional sector-specific training in the form of a course series in trust sector expertise, which serves as a valuable supplement to the commercial apprenticeship.

In addition to the practical training of apprentices in trust enterprises and the theoretical education at vocational school, the course series in trust sector expertise provides trust-specific knowledge in areas including the following:

  • Company law
  • Tax law
  • Due diligence
  • Intellectual property law
  • Accounting
  • Banking
  • Human resource management
  • Other subjects

It thus forms an essential basis for performing a wide range of tasks in the trust sector.

After completing their apprenticeship, graduates work in areas such as fiduciary clerical work and client support, and many take advantage of further training opportunities.

The sector-based courses are spread over the three apprenticeship years. They are divided into four teaching blocks and end with a written examination.

There are currently 12 lecturers providing training for apprentices in the trust sector, all of whom work in the Liechtenstein financial services industry and have in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge.
